INSTRUCTIONAL LEADERSHIP
Dear Friend,
Curriculum and Instruction is now Instructional Leadership. All programs in Curriculum and Instruction are now programs in Instructional Leadership, throughout Argosy University—nationwide!
Equally important, students in the old Curriculum and Instruction Program were expected to use their knowledge and skills to provide leadership for the improvement of student achievement in their home settings and to influence district, state and professional organizations. So it was appropriate to have the term leadership be a part of the names of both programs of the College of Education since we subscribe to the same national standards and have the same commitment: to actively use our knowledge and skills and courage to make this a better world.
Yes, the name finally caught up with the idea. And we welcome the change. It makes more sense to you and to your institutions to have the name emphasize instruction which is the source of student learning.Ronald Kar, Ph.D.
